Intelligent Interaction

The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (MSAI) program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive framework for artificial intelligence. Its goal is to cultivate exceptional leaders in the AI industry who can create and deploy cutting-edge intelligent systems that enhance human capabilities. Students will engage in an extensive core curriculum, intended to develop a strong foundation in core concepts that underpin artificial intelligence theory and practice.

The program’s curriculum will help students develop a deep understanding and acquire knowledge in state-of-the-art topics in artificial intelligence, including machine learning, deep learning, robotics, fuzzy-based methods, and data science. They will also learn how to apply these techniques across various fields. Additionally, the curriculum includes a project component that allows students to apply the core course materials to a practical project in a real-world environment.

The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence encourages students to achieve the following educational outcomes:

  1. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of artificial intelligence theory, algorithms, and applications

  2. Analyze the latest AI techniques, including machine learning, deep learning, robotics, fuzzy logic, and data science

  3. Research and evaluate Artificial Intelligence techniques to address complex real-world problems

  4. Demonstrate AI proficiency by preparing and presenting a presentation targeted at diverse audiences with AI concepts, findings, and/or solutions

  5. Assess the issues around ethical and responsible AI practices, emphasizing the importance of ethical considerations in the development and deployment of AI technologies

Admissions Requirements

 

For acceptance into the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (MSAI) degree program,  applicants must hold:

Bachelor's degree in the field of information technology, engineering, computer science, or related fields (i.e., Electrical or Electronics Engineering, ) from an accredited university  (or its equivalent from a recognized institution) with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.

Applicants with a GPA between 2.0 and 2.49, or those who do not hold a technology-related bachelor's degree, must complete the following prerequisite courses with a minimum grade of B (3.0) before beginning the MSAI program:

  1. Introduction to Python Programming 

  2. Probability and Statistics

Applicants lacking a sufficient mathematics background may also be advised to take Linear Algebra.

FAQs

What are the eligibility criteria for an MBA?

Eligibility criteria are: 

Nepali and non-Nepali nationals with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of at least three years duration (120 credits) in any discipline are eligible to apply for King’s College MBA Program.

My final year results are not out. Can I apply?

If you have completed the qualifying educational level, you can apply on a provisional basis, provided you have already taken the final year/ semester examination and passed all previous year/ semester examinations. You must submit your final transcript by one week before the admission date. However, even after admission, if you fail to meet King’s/University MBA eligibility requirements or do not submit documents, your admission will be deferred or canceled. Any fees paid once are non-refundable.

What is the structure of the MBA admission test?

The admission test consists of three phases 

  • Assessment of Statement of Purpose 

  • An entrance examination consisting of an analytical essay
  • Personal Interview

 

Can I submit the application form online?

Yes, the application form is submitted online.

What is the admission test fee?

The total Admission Test fee (including the fee for the Application Form) is free of cost.

Where do I get the application form?

Application forms can be filled out on King’s website https://www.kingscollege.edu.np/online-application/   or can be obtained from King’s College admission office.

Can someone else submit the application form for me?

Yes, anyone can submit the application form, but the application form should be properly filled, duly signed by the applicant, and submitted with the required documents on time.

What documents are required while submitting the application form?

You need to submit the certified copies of the following documents: 

  • Color scanned copy of Nationality certificate English version (for Nepali nationals) or copy of Passport (for foreign nationals). Indian Citizens can submit the Identity Card issued by the Embassy of India. 

  • Original copies of educational qualifications (Transcripts, Certificates, and Character Certificate) of highest degree earned. 

  • IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or letter from College stating that you have studied in English medium.

What needs to be done after submitting the application form?

The admission Team will reach out to you for aptitude tests and personal interviews.

What are the selection criteria at King’s College?

The selection criteria are based on the evaluation of personal statement, interview, your previous academic performance, involvement in extracurricular activities, and a written entrance examination.

When will the result be published? 

The result will be published within 2 days of your final interview.

 

Is the Westcliff degree accepted in Nepal?

Yes, the degree from King’s College( Westcliff University) is accepted in Nepal as it is approved by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and Tribhuvan University (TU). Students can apply for TU equivalency after completing their degree.

 

Do you offer scholarships? What types of scholarships are available?

Is the degree accepted worldwide?

Yes, this degree is accepted worldwide as it is accredited by WASC (WSCUC), a recognized regional accrediting body in the U.S., and ACBSP for business programs. The Westcliff University degree is regionally accredited, making it widely recognized for further studies and employment internationally.

Can I transfer the credit to any other University?

Credit is awarded by Westcliff University. Acceptability of transfer credits to other institutions is at the discretion of the accepting/receiving institution.

What is the duration of the MBA program and credit hours?

All MBA programs are of 2 years duration and 60 credit hours.

 

What additional skills can students expect from King’s besides academic engagement?

King’s College has set up separate centers for all students to cater to their own developmental needs. The Centers are – Student Development Center, Career Services, CERAD, My Emotions Matters, Community Service-Learning Program, Do Lab, teach LAB, Demola, etc.   Besides these, international visits, foreign language classes, and many national and international events are organized regularly.
