Yes — King’s College has been officially affiliated with Westcliff University (USA) since 2015. This means students in Nepal can enroll in Westcliff University degree programs and graduate with a Westcliff University degree while studying at King’s College.

What does the class timing look like?

Class timings at King’s College vary by program and year:

 

Graduate Programs (MBA & MSAI):

6:30 AM – 8:30 AM, usually 5 days a week

 

Undergraduate Programs (BBA, BSIT, BSCS):

First Year: 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM, 5 days a week

Second Year: 7:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Third & Fourth Year: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Is grading at King’s College exam-based or continuous, and how are grades determined?

King’s College does not use traditional exams. Grading is entirely continuous assessment–based, grounded in project-based and experiential learning. Students are evaluated through assignments, projects, class participation, teamwork, presentations, and community-based learning activities, ensuring that learning is applied to real-world challenges rather than memorization.

 

What are the graduation requirements?

BSIT and BSCS
The BSIT and BSCS programs are four-year, 120-credit degrees consisting of 40 courses. To graduate, students must complete a four-month internship, a consulting project, a community-based project, a reflection report and/or presentation, and 20 professional development modules, in addition to meeting all academic requirements.

BBA
The BBA program is a four-year, 120-credit degree with 40 courses. Graduation requires the successful completion of a four-month internship, a consulting project, a community-based project, a reflection report and/or presentation, and 20 professional development modules, along with all required coursework.

MBA and MSAI
The MBA and MSAI programs are two-year, 60-credit degrees consisting of 20 courses. To graduate, students must complete community-based project work, a final research project or project prototype, and 10 professional development modules, in addition to fulfilling all academic requirements.

 

How is GPA calculated?

GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated by assigning grade points to each course based on your performance and then averaging them according to the credit value of each course.At King’s College, each subject carries 3 credits

What is the credit system?

King’s College follows a credit-based academic system where each course carries 3 credits. One 3-credit course represents a total of 135 academic hours, which include class participation, preparation, assignments, projects, and other learning activities. Students progress and graduate by completing the required number of credits - 120 credits for undergraduate programs and 60 credits for graduate programs.

The Student Engagement Team helps students grow personally and professionally by coordinating activities that build leadership, collaboration, and civic engagement.

The Office of Safe and Respectable Learning (OSRL) works to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful campus environment and supports students facing harassment or discrimination.

The Center for Social Emotional Learning (CSEL) offers workshops, coaching, and counseling to strengthen emotional intelligence, self‑awareness, and wellbeing.

Additional resources include the Learning and Writing Center for academic guidance, CERAD (Center for Research and Development) which supports research and academic development, and the Innovation Kitchen Team, which promotes entrepreneurship and supports student ventures.

Does King’s College have international partnerships?

Yes. Through its Collaboration, Partnership, and Career Services team, King’s College has built a range of international academic and exchange partnerships that create global learning opportunities for students. 

These include semester and short‑term exchange programs with institutions such as Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences (JAMK) and Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK) in Finland, and ESCD 3A – École Supérieure de Commerce et Développement in Lyon, France. Students have also participated in collaborations with Dhurakij Pundit University and the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand. In addition, King’s College engages in international academic and research linkages with universities and organizations in China, Taiwan, Thailand, and Bangladesh, among others, through exchange, joint projects, and collaborative learning experiences.

Can students participate in international competitions or conferences?

Yes. King’s College encourages students to participate in both online and offline international competitions and conferences, depending on the activities and program opportunities. Students can engage with peers from other universities, develop skills, and gain exposure to global perspectives. King’s College also organizes programs such as Impact Week, workshops, and collaborative events that provide platforms for students to showcase their projects, innovations, and research on an international stage.

Can King’s College accept credit transfers from other universities?

Yes. King’s College may accept transfer credits from other recognized universities or colleges. Credit acceptance is subject to evaluation of course content, credit hours, grades, and alignment with the program requirements. Each request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and the final decision depends on academic equivalency and institutional policies.

 

Can students transfer credits earned at King’s College to another university?

Yes, students may apply to transfer their credits to another university. However, acceptance of credits depends entirely on the receiving university’s policies. King’s College cannot guarantee that all credits will be accepted elsewhere.

 

Can I transfer to Westcliff University and continue my studies there?

Yes. Since King’s College programs are affiliated with Westcliff University, eligible students may apply to continue their studies directly at Westcliff University, subject to academic standing, visa requirements, and university approval.
