Mr. Dipkamal Bhusal, a Ph.D. scholar at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), will be visiting King's College to deliver a lecture as part of our Industry Speaker Series this month. He is recognized as one of the pioneers in Nepal for his contributions to chatbots and machine learning, as well as for his efforts in introducing robotics and artificial intelligence in the country.
Mr. Bhusal is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences at RIT, with research focused on reliable deep learning and explainable machine learning. His academic path began with a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from IOE, Pulchowk Campus in Nepal, which he completed in 2016.
After graduation, he co-founded two tech startups in Kathmandu: Paaila Technology and Naulo Robotics Restaurant. Throughout his entrepreneurial journey, he took on various roles including software developer, project manager, and managing director. He has represented his companies at numerous exhibitions and events, delivering impactful talks and presentations both domestically and internationally. In 2021, Mr. Bhusal completed his Master’s in Information Engineering at IOE, with a specialization in machine learning for healthcare.
